Why isn’t it organic?Updated a year ago

We have chosen organic ingredients where we believe it's important and have intentionally selected non-organic ingredients where we think they are superior.

Specifically, organic tallow isn't required to be 100% grass-fed, and we prioritize grass-fed over organic, especially since many high-quality cattle ranches are not certified organic.

Furthermore, our spices, except for those certified organic, are sourced from Burlap & Barrel, known for arguably the highest quality spices available. They procure directly from small artisanal farms worldwide. We know the CEO personally—he travels globally to meet with generational spice farmers and inspect their farms.

Many of these farms are located in countries where the economics make certification cost-prohibitive. While not certified, their spices are still grown naturally, which we believe is what truly matters.
